Volunteer Houston works with non-profit organizations, government agencies, and school districts to provide volunteers for a variety of needs. Their website allows you to search for a service opportunity by a variety of factors such as age, location, and interest in serving. Its a great tool to find a serving opportunity to fit your needs and passions. I would imagine that other big cities have similar websites.
