This sweet book shares the message of forgiveness through a story of a boy who feels badly for lying to his parents.  His parents use a sparkle egg and the message of Easter to remind him that Jesus took away his sin when He died and rose again, and he can fully accept His forgiveness.

Best for Ages: 4-8

This sweet yet powerful book teaches children that Jesus is the King of Easter and finds and saves those He meets. As you read through the book, you will see Jesus meet and save different characters from the Bible from His birth, through the cross, to us. I love the repetition and beautiful illustrations that make such a profound message of Jesus’ salavation come to life for kids to enjoy and understand.

These special eggs share the story of Jesus’s death and resurrection.  Each day your child opens an egg and finds a small object corresponding to the Bible lesson for the day. The lesson and questions are provided in both English and Spanish. We have done this year after year with our kids, and they never seem to get tired of it.  I have also used it in church preschools and neighborhood Bible clubs with much success!

These prayer journals help your kids learn to share their thoughts with God by journaling to Him. Writing prompts are given on each page to make it easy for them to write out their worries, prayer requests, and things they are thankful for. This is a great way to encourage them in their personal relationship with Jesus.

This hands-on journal encourages your kids to read, pray, write, draw, and do different activities as they learn to follow God’s Word.

This 2019 allegoric film, based on the famous, classic book, helps kids understand what it really means to wholeheartedly follow Jesus and not give into temptations of the world. It has helped my kids to recognize temptations and lies from the enemy and has encouraged them to remain strong in their faith in Jesus. Although it is animated, some children may be fearful of some of the scenes, so I do recommend you watch it first if you are concerned, and I wouldn’t recommend this movie for most preschoolers or younger elementary-aged children.

If you have older kids, you may also consider a Christian t-shirt, age-appropriate devotional or Bible, and/or a Christian book or audio drama.  Check out my resource pages  for great ideas to grow them in their faith at Easter!
