Silly Little Thing Called Love is a cute video that your kids are sure to LOVE (no pun intended). The video contains three true love stories encouraging kids to love their neighbor, their family, and God.  My favorite part is when real kids are asked to explain their thoughts on God’s love, and their voices are added to animated “veggie kids” doing cute activities while being interviewed. I gave this to my kids last Valentine’s Day, and they still love watching it!

You Are Special, also written by Max Lucado, is one of my all-time favorite picture books that every child needs to hear.  This story shares the message that God made us and loves us so much that we don’t need to worry about what anyone else thinks about us.

Just The Way You Are is another one of my all time favorite children’s picture books.  The story teaches the important truth that we do not have to earn God’s love by doing good things for Him, but that what He wants most is a relationship with us.  My kids love this book, as do I!

Hind’s Feet in Hind’s Places is a classic Christian allegory that has been revised and beautifully illustrated for children.  There are six chapters, and at the end of each chapter is a set of discussion questions, a Bible verse, and a prayer.  This book would make a great devotional to do with your children and teaches the importance of following the good shepherd who loves them very much! I will be reading this one with my kids this year!

This book would be perfect for any teenagers needing reminders of God’s perfect love for them!  Each page has a Bible verse and/or a related idea of what God loves about them.  These encouraging truths about God’s love are so important for teens to grasp and receive from God as they walk through the challenging times that teen years can bring. (I found an updated version on with a Valentine’s themed cover if you prefer over this one on Amazon!)

This is a great devotional to help your teen understand how God wants to speak to you and have a personal relationship with you. I have heard of several teens who have grown in their faith through reading this devotional. The “teen edition” has the same content as the regular edition, but with youthful graphics on the pages to make it more fun of this generation. The devotional contains daily readings about what God spoke to the author each day as she spent time with Him. Each message aligns with scripture, and God has used this book in amazing ways to speak to countless readers and grow them closer in a personal relationship with Him.

God Loves You is a book my older niece and nephew like and recommend.  If you have an older, mature teen who likes to read, this would make a great book.  In it Dr. Jeremiah discusses in detail God’s amazing love and how to reconcile even the negative effects of our fallen world in the light of His perfect love.
