As Christian parents, if we know from heart the greatest commandment, then we understand that the most important thing we can teach our kids is to love the Lord our God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, as Jesus teaches.
Asking spiritual questions to our kids is something we don’t often think about, yet it is SO important for our children’s spiritual development. Discussing spiritual matters allows our kids to connect Jesus into their every day world and encourage them to put God first in their lives. It also helps them feel comfortable asking questions and talking about God throughout the day!
This month I have another exciting highlight from the Dennis family about their ministry to refugees and international students. Jennifer Dennis has been working with internationals for three years and has found some great ways to reach out to refugees and international students with her whole family.

One of the most profound gifts that we can give our children is to teach them to pray. It is such an honor that the God of the entire universe wants to have a RELATIONSHIP with us. And this relationship can only happen through prayer, communing with God… I believe one of the best ways we can encourage our children to have a relationship with Jesus is to teach them to pray. And the best way to teach them to pray is to pray with our children.
